Northern Ireland public procurement annual budget of £2.2 billion. Northern Ireland public procurement now accounts for some £2.2 billion expenditure per annum according to Mr Des Armstrong, Director, Central Procurement Directorate, Department of Finance and Personnel. Mr Armstrong was speaking at a Breakfast Briefing held by the Sales Institute of Ireland, Northern Ireland Branch. He is shown on the left in the above picture, with Declan Kavanagh CEO of Sogeti Ireland and Noel Brady Chairman of the Sales Institute. In the course of his briefing, Mr Armstrong explained how public procurement is organised and advised his audience on the tendering and selection process.
